Megan and Lance's #loveasaurus (and GIFs!)
Last night, Christine and I witnessed the wonderful wedding of good friends and dinosaur-lovers Megan and Lance. In a bit of nostalgia, we saw them wed at Long View Gallery, the same venue that Christine and I tied the knot in almost three months ago. And that’s totally fitting for our celebrated “meet-cute” story, first meeting Megan and Lance at the Renaissance as we were all inquiring into proper hotel blocks for our weddings to be.
After the Marriott tour, we became friends bonded by the trials and tribulations of planning a wedding. We regularly met for drinks, pizza and ceremony updates.
In April, Megan and Lance seamlessly integrated into our big day. And although we walked into theirs knowing literally no one, we were flattered to join a tight-knit support network, quickly making new friends. At Table 2, we divvied up survival roles should we ever find ourselves on a deserted island.
From the cupcake food truck to the Jurassic Park-remix walk-out music, it was a beautiful event accented by the quirks and characteristics that only Megan and Lance could inspire.
Now that we’re all married, we’ll need to focus on other weddings. I suggest that the four of us go downtown to find new couples looking for hotel blocks and continue the “meet-cute” circle of life.
